His slow, trauma-numbed brain struggles to process this. Someone, anyone, enjoying his company seems impossible right now, but it would be rude to argue.
"I am glad to hear that." Glad is an overstatement, since he's not exactly glad about anything right now, but he appreciates being told something positive about himself, even if he finds it hard to believe. "I enjoy your company as well. It seems we are alike." In demeanour, and not needing much chatter. Dedue finds it calming to spend time with people he doesn't feel pressured to talk much around.
"Of course. I can offer constructive feedback. When I am more well, I would also be happy to teach you a few things."
Yesod has to admit that he has questions left unasked — about Dedue's world, about Dedue himself, wondering what his story might be, if it surprises him that others would seek him out for his company. Understandably, there are other factors to take into account at the moment, but these don't diminish his qualities as a person. He has seemed calm and steady and kind.
It makes it possible to believe that he genuinely enjoys Yesod's company in turn. Yesod wouldn't expect that, either, unaccustomed as he still is to friendly interactions with people outside of his colleagues — and they didn't have that until fairly recently — but it prompts another slight smile.
He welcomes the idea of Dedue's offered cooking lessons, too. "Then I'll have your future guidance to enjoy."
